Family Vacation, Help! Oops!

Sorry, I'm new to this!
My family and I are planning a vacation for late June. Originally we were going to go to the Grand Canyon, but our planning happened too late to do it this year. We are looking for reccomendations for a mom, dad, 15 yr old son, 12 yr old and 9 yr old daughters. We don't want to have to drive for days and days because we have a week or so. We've done DC and Maine/NH, and Boston. We were talking about Pennsylvania, but I've never spent any time there. Can anyone help me with that or reccomend something else that would be fun, interesting, with activity, relaxation and maybe some outdoor recreation? I know it exists.

Where are you?

Why is it to late for the Grand Canyon this June? Have you checked to see if there has been any cancellations for lodging at the South Rim? Have you checked the Tusayan which is just 10 miles south of the Grand Canyon village for lodging?

In Pennsylvania, where were you thinking of going? If you are driving, Gettysburg (for the historical battlefield), Lancaster (Amish country), Philadelphia, and Bucks County (New Hope area)may be a reasonable trip.

If I could afford a place like that, I would probably never be there. I would most likely be traveling to all the sites I have read about on this forum.

One fantastic vacation after the next!

oops - my second post was supposed to go to another thread. Forgive me - I am a newbie here!

Since you already live in Wyoming, I suggest you make a vacation out of that. So much to do and see there.

What? You don't live in Wyoming? Well it was as good a guess as any.
