Family needs a hotel in Oahu
 

We need two rooms in Waikiki in a reasonably priced hotel (less than $150 per room) in August. We're flying in from the mainland to see Pearl Harbor before continuing onto Maui. Does not have to be on the beach. Any suggestions greatly appreciated?

That may be hard to come by. Try the Outriggers or Astons.

New Otani Kaimana Hotel is running internet specials for $130 a night or $145 with breakfast for two. It is a great location for families - in a quiet neighborhood on a gentle beach, near Diamond Head, the zoo and Kapiolani Park.

What about the Hawaii Prince?

for this kind of layover, we used the princess kaiulani twice. rooms were fine, its a block off the main drag, has parking, etc. very reasonably priced, convenient etc. Its a sheraton/starwood property
