Family Friendly Restaurants on Kauai

I have been doing some research on places to eat on each side of the island and would like to know if these places are good choice for families. Please keep in mind that my oldest daughter is a VERY picky eater (likes pizza, hamburgers, and chicken nuggets primarily!).

East Coast:
Barbecue Inn
Duke's Canoe Club
Kalapaki Beach Hut
Kountry Kitchen (breakfast)
Duane's Ono Burger (Probably first pick)
Kukui's (breakfast buffet)

North:
Cafe Hanalei (Breakfast, lunch or dinner?)
Kilauea Bakery (quick bfast)
Zelo's Beach House
Wishing Well Shave Ice

South:
Brick Oven Pizza
CampHouse Grill
Beach House (Kid's menu?)
Brennecke's
Roy's (Do they have a kid's menu?)
Tidepools
Tomkats Grill

West:
JoJo's
Green Garden
Wrangler's Steakhouse

I would appreciate any and all opinions!
Thanks!

I will comment on East Coast...with one exception......JoJo's is an absolute Definite do not miss.

Barbeque Inn - Great food, good prices, friendly people. This was probably my husband's favorite as far as value. Don't expect any ambiance, but if it's good food you want...do it.

Duke's Canoe Club - Adults and children both will like Duke's. Lots of people eat in the bar area. Duke's is really really good.

Kalapaki Beach Hut - A fast food place with a few tables upstairs. We only had breakfast there and it was outstanding.

Kountry Kitchen (breakfast) - Don't know, but I will tell you this...The Tip Top Cafe is great for breakfast. I think my pancakes had macadamias, pineapple and banana...not sure...but they were oh so light and fluffy!

Duane's Ono Burger - Never made it there at burger time, but we did do Bubba's in Kapaa and it was good.

Kukui's - This is in the Marriott. Breakfast buffet is very good, but pricey at $18pp, if I remember correctly. On the days we had the breakfast buffet at the Marriott..we did a late breakfast. We liked the food at Kukui's very much.

A few other places to consider on the east side are:....LaPlayita Azul - yes, Kal......my absolute favorite.
Coconuts
Kintaro

As a resident of Kaua`i, I've gotta jump in and give you my 2 cents, okay?
Using "families" and "picky eater" as your parameters, you might want to skip:

Barbecue Inn (very "local" food)
Kukui's (pricey)
Cafe Hanalei (lovely, but $$$$$)
Zelo's Beach House (fish & Mexican)
Beach House ($$$$$)
Roys ($$$$ - no kid's menu)
Tidepools ($$$$$ - no kid's menu)

But that still leaves you with plenty of places to try. Enjoy!

Are you sure that isn't my daughter?

Anyway, we ate at Bubba's I believe it was on the north shore and had the basics that the kids/teens would eat. I remember a place that wasn't anything fancy near the south shore that had a little pond inside that you sat around at picnic tables and such, she enjoyed the spaghetti with no sauce there.... yuck! and the other daughter had a baked potatoe as her entree (wild eaters here too) have fun, you all will.

Just want to put in my 2 cents worth On South Shore options.
Definitely go to Brick Oven Pizza in Kalaheo. Some of the best pizza I have ever had. Also Camphouse Grill in Kalaheo in nice, inexpensive, and has great breakfasts and lunches.
I would not do Beach House, Roy's or Tidepools with Kids.
Brennecke's has good burgers at lunch, so that might be ok.

Would also strongly recommend both Brick Oven Pizza and Brennecke's - my kids loved both. We also went to a place in old Koloa town called (I think) Pizzeta, which worked out well
