Family Friendly Beach Vacations

I would love any and all information on some great family beach vacations. I have 3 children (12,10,2) who love the beach but finding places that are child friendly, affordable and most of all clean, isn't easy.

Suggestions for East Coast areas is what I am interested in. Thanks!!!!!!

What time of year and what is your budget for accommodations?

I would like to go between the months of May and September. Span could be from Maine to New Jersey to Florida, east coast is key. I would like mid range, no luxury and no low end motels.Thanks.

May (before Memorial Day) and September (after Labor Day)are off season for VA, NC, SC, GA, and Florida Beaches. May through Christmas is off season for South Florida. You can really get some great rates if you do go off season. I would go to priceline.com and bid on a resort.

awdeygirl,
Montauk, Long Island is one possibility.
http://www.montauklife.com/
http://www.onmontauk.com/default.cfm

Yes, this is a biased plug from a Long Islander who enjoys this part of the Island - we sail in to Montauk Harbor and spend at least a night or two every summer.

Also can attest that there's plenty of kids (all ages) during the summer.
hth,

There are hundreds of accomodations that would meet your requirements on Cape Cod. The high (rate) season here does not start until mid-June when the kids get out of school.
