Family Christmas Getaway: Snow, horse drawn sleigh rides, sledding a must

Looking for the perfect "Currier & Ives" family Chirstmas getaway this year. Me, my husband & 9 year old daughter. Must haves: snow, horse drawn sleigh rides, carolling, sledding/tubing, ice skating. Not skiers but open to a skiing town if it has the other stuff. We went to the Wildflower Inn in Lyndonville, VT 5 years ago and it had all this stuff but looking for another location to explore if it exists. Any suggestions are appreciated!

I should mention that I have only stayed here in the summer and it was many years ago but we enjoyed it a lot both times.

Do not choose Lake Tahoe if you want to be sure of snow. I have been there many times when the snow has been very light. They might make snow for skiers (but it's all packed on the middle of the slopes), but there's no magical winter feel outside the specific ski areas!

At Christmas you may not have that much snow in VT - ski slopes will make it - but the area may not have much. To be sure of snow I would head to Colorado or similar - check which places routinels get heavy snow early in the season.

Jackson NH- Check out the Christmas Farm Inn or Nestlenook. We have taken our daughter at Christmas time and it is so much fun!

There might not be snow at Sunriver Oregon but they do have a horse drawn sleigh that they put wheels on when there is no snow.
http://www.sunriver-resort.com/orego...-vacations.php Sunriver also has great bike paths and it's own small airport.
