They told me we would land in Lake Clark.

The landing spot would depend "where the bears are at the time".

The landing is being timed at low tide to watch them dig for clams.

We went to Anan Creek in Alaska to do bear watching last August. We flew out of Ketchikan. The scenery is beautiful. We watched the bear from a good safe distance of 40 feet at least using two pairs of zen-ray summit 10x binoculars. So much details can be seen with binoculars. Make sure you bring your binoculars and digital camera.
