Fairmont Miramar in Santa Monica

Well,we have now changed our trip from arizona to S. california. Since my wife works for fairmont...i wanted to know from some unbiased travellers,as to their opinions of the Miramar in Santa Monica....we get a discount, and want to spend two weeks down there, so we also want it to be nice as well...What are the restaurants like?..rooms?...staff??...thank you very much

I haven't stayed there under Fairmont management, so you may want to get a more current opinion, but I remember this as a beautiful hotel, in a very nice setting, in a perfect location in Santa Monica in the middle of everything.

It's a great hotel with a great location and it has been spiffed up under Fairmont.

It is a great hotel, great service, very nice terrace restaurant, small pool, half a block from the promenade in Santa Monica...

I stayed there a couple of months ago. The rooms are very nice, all of the rooms have a small balcony, bose CD players...

All in all, a very good hotel.

Great hotel, great location across the street from the ocean. Ask for an ocean view room on a higher floor. Lots of restaurants and shops across the street.
