FAA problems today
My flight was cxl'd, as are many others. If you are flying, please check w/your airline, it looks like mostly delays.
|
Naturally, as I'm flying today. All I can find so far is that they are investigating "computer glitches". Do you know anything else?
|
This was one of the "news" items I've found so far related to the glitch. Sorry your flight was canceled Frank--

Lenny,
No, probably because they dont know when the computer glitch will be fixed. All I was told it was an FAA problem. Some early flights are delayed and cxl'd, but they say afternoon should be 'OK.' What a joke How can the later flights be 'on time' when the planes havent left their last airports? |
Thank you for the information Katie, maybe I actually will still get out this afternoon.
:) |
Oof. Good luck Frank, I hope you get where you're going. I'm not leaving til later in the day, so hopefully it will be resolved by then.
|
Lenny,
One of my kids has an orchestra performance tonight, so it looks like Im renting a car to drive home(arghhh, 7 hrs) I feel the worst for people loaded on planes already just sitting out there. Good Luck to you |
My DH was caught up in this. Thankfully his flight was only delayed by an hour or so and so he did make it to his destination. He was supposed to meet a coworker who was flying in from another place though, so not sure how that turned out just yet.

FAA claims computers (both in SLC and ATL) are now fixed, but no word on how long it will take to sort through the backlog.
