Experiences with Frontier Airlines and connections in Denver
Thinking of combining 2 trips in one and flying from Ft Lauderdale to San Diego. No non-stop service that I can find. Frontier is the cheapest and has a connection in Denver. Potential problems with a 50 min connection? Any lost luggage stories??

I've flown Frontier FLL - DEN many times. All of Frontier's gates at DIA are on concourse A and all but two or three are grouped together on the west end of concourse A. It's a small concourse; you could walk from one end to the other in about 5 minutes. 50 minutes is a tight connection but unless you are changing carriers, you'll probably be fine.
As for lost luggage, I worked at DIA on opening day and remember the baggage fiasco well. Since I've moved away, I've flown 20+ times to & through Denver and have never had a problem with lost bags. Have you looked at flying out of Miami in order to get a direct flight? Even if you can't get a direct flight, flying American Miami - Dallas - San Diego might be quicker than going through Denver. |
Really the only problem you would have is if your first flight is delayed. This said, I just flew 4 Frontier flights. ALL of them were delayed at LEAST an hour...definately check their on time performance.

Thank you both. While I was "dickering" the fare has now gone up significantly :-@ so now it looks like my best bet is America West with a connection in Phoenix. That's a 2 hr stop over. :-<
Any comments on America West??? |
America West is my FAVORITE airline. It has had exceptional on-time records and customer service ratings for the past 2 years.
