Has anyone booked a hotel in Orlando with hotelkingdom.com? If so, how was your experience? Thanks.

No but Ive booked with Hotels.com and have had no problems. Ive never even heard of Hotelkingdom.com.

I've booked with them twice this past summer. One for Tampa and one for St. Augustine, but times no problems. I even talked on the phone with them, very nice personal.

Ive noticed their rates can save a few $$ with Florida resorts though haven't acutually used them yet. I have a backup Miami cruise reservation made with hotelkingdom for a boutique hotel if Priceline doesn't work out.

I also had never heard of them until this past summer. I haven't used them for Florida yet but did book thru them for New York City and Burlington, Vermont. I found their rates considerably better then any others I could find for those trips. I used AARP, AAA, etc., and still their rates were tops.

I used hotelkingdom.com this summer in Orlando (Wyndham Palms Resort and Country Club for $89 a night) and I have reservations with them for February, 2004 at the Royal Pacific Resort at Universal. I had no problems. I think they charge you $10.90 to cancel or change (within the allowed time period). You can call their 800 number or book online. I've done both. The first time I used the 800#. This time, since I was more confident, I booked online.

Once I have the confirmation from hotelkingdom.com, I call the hotel to make sure everything is in order. I was assured by the hotel that my reservation was in the system and all is well.

Thanks Antmaril, that was what I was hoping to hear. I am also going to use hotelkingdom .com to book the Royal Pacific. Their rates are considerably less than booking with Loews or Expedia. I just wanted to hear from a satisfied customer.

We have also used Hotel Kingdom several times. Last trip to orlando we got a dirt-cheap rate ($39 per night) at Star Island timeshare condo for attending their timeshare presentation. The folks I have dealt with over the phone at hotelkingdom for any questions are always nice and informative. The very inexpensive offers associated with timeshare presentations are always clearly marked as such, if you are interested in that. We were, it saved us a ton of money and we stayed at an excellent property.

I have used them for the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando and was very pleased!

This sounds a bit suspicious to me, is someone trying to promote their site? hotelkingdom.com looked a bit crude to me, and the prices I checked were no better than the hotels's own prices.

Why would you risk booking with an unknown 3rd party and paying a fee to cancel, rather than with the hotel directly?

I may use sites like this to look at hotels and reviews, and refine hotel searches, but I personally always book with the hotel, they have always been able to meet or beat these prices, and have a better cancellation policy.

Hotelkingdom.com is a legitimate site with some great hotel rates. I am not affiliated with them or promoting them in any way. I have used them in the past and I plan to use them in the future. On my last trip to Orlando, I saved big on a two bedroom, two bath condo at Wyndham Palms Resort. The price through Wyndham was $150 a night more than the hotelkingdom.com price.

On my upcoming trip to Royal Pacific Resort at Universal, I am saving $100 per night over the price given to me through Loews. I, too, try to book with the hotel directly, if possible, but to save this much money, I have no problem booking through hotelkingdom.com

I used them for Las Vegas and had no problems with check-in or anything, only problem was I found a slightly better deal but would have had to pay a $10 cancellation charge to hotelkingdom. And 72 hours before check-in time they charge full price for first night - no cancellations.

I've checked prices at HotelKingdom.com and never found the prices more than a dollar or two less than other sites, so I've never booked with it. One drawback: if you're in a hotel chain's frequent-stayer program, you won't accrue points with a reservation booked on this kind of bargain-rate site.

I just got an e-mail from Hilton vowing to match on their own site any rates on any other site.

I still say, if the savings are big enough, and sometimes they are, I would not hesitate to use hotelkingdom.

I booked with Hotelkingdom.com because their rate was 175 per night at Universal's Royal Pacific versus the Loews price of 219 per night. I heard about hotelkingdom.com on the disboard. I will post after my trip and let everyone know how my experience was. So far, they seem professional. I checked with the hotel directly and they confirmed my reservation.
