Expedia hotels

I just booked a hotel through Expedia.com. Has anyone used them? Are they reliable? I called the hotel to confirm and they have my info so I think I should be OK.

I used them several times and will use in the future if the price is right. I always call the hotel and/or the airline to confirm. The hotel will ask for your credit card without charging it if you don't use the phone or room service. There may be electricity charge, we paid additional $3 in Vegas. Once I had a problem, and it was very easy to get a live person on their 800 number, and the problem was fixed the same day - it happened when I reserved more then 1 room. I recommend Expedia to everybody at home and work.

I have used Expedia for hotels and flights without problem. But sometimes you can get a better price directly through the hotel or its website.

Thanks for the info...I was just a little leary about it but I called the hotel to confirm and they did have my reservation. I think I just might call again when it gets closer to reconfirm. I'm crazy like that. thanks

I also use Expedia for booking hotel rooms quite often and I've never had a problem. I don't even call the hotel to confirm anymore since I have a confirmation number from Expedia. Beware, however, it always pays to check the hotel website directly before booking since they sometimes offer lower internet rates there.
