I recently stayed at the Soho B&B on Houston St. At $150/night you can't beat it. Excellent location, gracious hosts, very hip.
This place is very low-key with no website, kind of a friends of friends place. The phone number is 917.568.3377

132 W. Houston between Sullivan and MacDougal. Bathrooms, TV, Espresso maker, Heat and A/C, big windows, queen beds in rooms. $125/sing, $150/dbl. Owners speak Eng, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish.

In my opinion, you can't beat it considering the neighborhood.
