Oh Swami Kate----------

Please give the un-initiated a small clue as to where EWR and Ironbound neighborhood might be located. Sorry, but some of just aren't hip.

XXX

XXX-most likely people in NJ would recognize the Ironbound as being in Newark and the EWR as being Newark Airport..so you don't need to worry about it.
Kate-I am not sure how you are traveling but 20 minutes to 30 should do it.~M

a note to xxxx: most people who visit this site are travelers so of course they would know that EWR is Newark. For future reference, when you see LAX that means Los Angeles. I could give you a whole list, but you'd probably just think of something nasty to say.

EWR to Ironbound can be as fast as a 10-15 minute drive. Follow the signs for NJ Turnpike/1&9 north but take the first (I think the only) exit that says Newark. At the end of the ramp you'll make a left then a quick right. This street will lead you directly into Ironbound which is chock full of good Portuguese restaurants. For a good Italian meal you'll have to venture further. I'm not sure what's available in Newark but many of the Italian restaurants in north Jersey (and there are an abundance) are likely to be closed on Thanksgiving day.

There is one on every post-just ignore it and maybe it will go away.
