Ever driven from Houston to College Station?

Is it really 1 hour 1/2 as Mapquest says? Thanks.

I can't answer from experience on that drive however, I find that many times mapquest doesn't always take you on fastest, most direct route and their times are often off.

Part of the drive time factor will be day of week and the time of drive [rush hour etc]. Maybe providing that info will help some of the Fodor Houston folks in giving an answer [they are SO nice and helpful]. If you don't get an answer right away, it is slow on weekends, so maybe tomorrow.

Depends opn where you leave Houston . . from the West ( Katy ) it is about 1 & 1/2 hours . . Depending on when you make the trip, you may see lots of wildflowers along the way

It can take 1 & 1/2 hours just to drive from one side of Houston to the other. Rich is right, from the NW side of town to Aggieland 1 & 1/2 hours is about right.

Just drove it last weekend--Yes! or more, depending where in Houston and when you arrive. Traffic all the time into Houston.
