Ever been to Myrtle Beach?

We would like to go there this summer?
Where would you recommend staying, if you want to be near the water?
Most reasonable places ($)to golf?

I can't help you with places to stay -- hopefully one of the locals will chime in.

As for golf, there are numerous golf courses that offer specials (green fees + cart after 12 Noon). The courses are listed in the local newspaper in the sporting news section.

I'm not sure how many people you are talking about (family? or group of guys?), but they have a lot of golf packages that include lodging and golf. Just google Myrtle Beach & golf. ((b))

There are just too many golf courses to actually compare.
We have always loved Forest Dunes.

What kind of hotel are you looking for? There are so many. Kids? Budget? A good place to research hotels is on tripadvisor.com. Very active MB forum.

I love Myrtle Beach, but hate the traffic. Try Long Bay Resort...
