Europe Trains

I want to take a train from munich to Palermo. After visiting Palermo, I would like to train it to Rome.

Any inputs.

Sapi, if you post on the Europe forum you'll probably get some inputs. It will help if you make your question a little more specific though.

Go to either of these places for train schedules:

http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en

or

www.trenitalia. com

Is there any reason you want to train that far? It would probably be cheaper and faster to fly. www.hlx.com has flights from Munich to Palermo for about 80E including taxes.

Windjet has flights from Palermo to Rome and they are having a 1E flight sale. Of course, after taxes the cost is about 60E.

www.whichbudget.com for flights in Europe.

Munich to Palermo is a long trip.
The best connection, requiring just one change of trains, and no change of train stations, is the one that leaves Munich at 9:33.

You would arrive in Palermo at 9:45 the following morning after a long layover in Rome.

Sure you want to ride a train all day long and into the night?

Seat reservations are recommended.
Leaving Munich, the train is one of the main ones through the length of Italy to Rome.
