Estes Park to Yellowstone route
We will be making the drive from Estes Park, Colorado to Yellowstone in August. As we will be doing lots of other scenic drives during this trip, our main goal for this drive is to get to Yellowstone as quickly as possible. What's the best route, and how long should we allow?

Gee Brian, this site is here to help with travel questions, but couldn't you just look at a map to see how easy it is to get to the next state? Try mapquest or freetrip.com.

If you had planned on going to the Grand Tetons too, then I would say the fastest way would be on I-25 north to I-80 to Rock Springs and then Hwy 191 north. My trip planner says it will take 11 1/2 hours. I-80 is so boring!!!!

If you don't plan on going to the Grand Tetons then my trip planner says the fast route is to stay on I-25 to Casper, WY and then take Hwy 20 to Hwy 120 and then Hwy 14 in the east enterance from Cody, WY to Yellowstone. My trip planner says this takes 10 1/2 hours.

Utahtea
