Entertainment for a 19 year old!

Are there any 18 plus clubs in Chicago? What does a minor adult do in the evening for fun?

With or without faked ID?

Movies, concerts, restaurants with music, sometimes comedy clubs have shows for under age kids.

The 19 year old will go to an 18 plus night club or a movie. They are here from out of town and want to go do something in the evenings other than just a movie or sitting at home with relatives. There seems to be no 18 plus clubs in Chicago and they dont have fake I.D's.

What about something like Blue Man Group?

Comedy Sportz has all ages improv shows in the evening as well. www.comedysportzchicago.com

I'm not certain of the upcoming schedules, but there are often events going on in the various parks - free music, movies, etc.

You can check sites like metromix.com or Time Out Chicago to see exactly what is going on during the weekend.

Don't know anything about 18 plus clubs. As the mother of a 20 year old in the Chicago suburbs, I'd say that most 19 year olds hang out with their friends at each others homes, go to movies, concerts, restaurants for a late night snack, etc.

I understand the frustration of a visiting 19 year old. But, to the best of my knowledge, there's nothing specifically geared towards people of that age.

I just thought of the Gene Siskel Film Center. This is a unique experience and not just going to see a movie. They do a lot of neat events and show special movies (foreign films, etc). Maybe he or she will find something interesting on the calendar.

Ok another one - if either the White Sox or Cubs have a night game, that's always a great time. Sox have fireworks nights as well.

Shows at ImprovOlympic for the best improv in the country -- especially "TJ and Dave" Wednesday nights, or "The Armando Diaz" experience on Monday evenings. Or, "A Parallelogram" at Steppenwolf -- a tragi-comedy by a favorite playwright, and students get $15 tickets (when normal prices are $50-70).

Check out Navy Pier, and perhaps take a cruise around the lake.
Comedy clubs are typically a great place to hand out with friends, here are several you can look at.
Have a great time!
