Have a great time! You can't go wrong with your decision!

If you're going to go to WDW I'd fork out the extra for a 2-day ticket (about $70 more each) and a motel room. It will be a much more enjoyable visit. Make it Tues-Wed; the Magic Kingdom is open until midnight next Tuesday.

Also--arrive as early as possible--you can cover a lot of ground in the first two hours that a park is open. Target the rides you really want to hit. Learn how Fastpass works and use it. Don't bother lining up for the afternoon parades, it's a time killer and with your older kids doesn't make sense. If you go on a night when the Spectromagic parade is running two times at Magic Kingdom, or Fantasmic! is running two times at the Studios, go to the later parade/show, as the folks with younger kids will largely clear out after the first.

Thank you so much for your ideas. Tues-Wed sounds like a great idea. This vacation is really shaping up nicely. I couldn't have done it without you guys. Thanks.

One more idea - go to allears.net and check out ideas for most efficient use of your time, see if any attractions are closed for rehab. DO make a list of the "must-see" attractions for each park and map out a general schedule. I also recommend get there as early as possible, you will be able to pack a lot into each day. Have FUN!

Just wanted to input that every child should experience Magic Kingdom. It is just a classic and something they will never forget. My first time was when I was 18..

Also Kennedy Space Center is great. So much American history and you can see actual vintage and newer spacecraft, touch a space shuttle tile, go on a shuttle, see Imax movie, talk to an astronaut, and see Apollo 13 module. It's 45 min drive east of Orlando.
