Empire State Bldg. online tickets?
 

We will be going to the ESB around sunset on Thursday or Friday evening. Should we buy tickets online? Also, what time should we get there to see sunset from the top?

Buying tickets online and printing them will save you waiting in the ticket line once you get there. Directions are provided on your printed tickets for heading for the elevators when you arrive.

You can find the time of sunset for your dates at www.weather.com, then plan to arrive about an hour earlier than that.

The sun sets around 5pm now, but the view is just as nice at night as well as sunset.

If I print tickets online, this does not save a particular time, correct?

I actually printed mine online for my trip to NY this weekend, and it only prints a bar code on it (you can print them over and over, but only use them once). It does not print a date on it, it tells you that you have one year from date of issue to use them. So, no, it doesn't reserve you a certain time....it's open ended.
