Embassy Suites or Doubletree Suites?

Hi, gang,
Planning for our trip in September with just the 2 of us to DC. Would appreciate all of your input in which you prefer, Doubletree or Embassy Suites? And why?
Thanks so much.
Your fellow traveler, Evelyn

That's easy. I would much rather have the hot cookie on arrival at the Doubletree than the free breakfast at the Embassy Suite. But if you want the "suite" and want the breakfast- most would take the ES.

Don't forget the cocktails at ES.

Suite/breakfast/cocktails vs. cookie?

Maybe someone who is familiar with the locations of the two with regard to metro/shopping/restaurants could chime in. You might want to chose the more convenient one. ((b))

There are a couple of ES in downtown DC, plus in Alexandria, Crystal City, and Chevy Chase.
