embassy suites deerfield ? anyone have comments

How is this place. How is the snorkeling around it? What about good places to eat?

World-class snorkeling in Lake Michigan about an hour drive to the east. Fine dining in the area includes McDonald's and Applebees.

The embassy suites in Deerfield Beach Fla is fantastic. Do not eat at Pal's Joey's Crab. We got stuck on some little porch with pin oak acorns dropping on us and into the (not good, and expensive) food.

There's not much to see if you snorkel off the beach. You would have to take a dive trip boat out to the wrecks. I don't know if there are reefs up there. The good snorkeling is in the upper Keys but I know there are lots of dive trip operators in Broward and Palm Beach County.

We have stayed at the Embassy Suites in Deerfield Beach and found it to be a good value as well as a nice place. We usually stay in Fort Lauderdale but wanted to try something different. Very nice dining in the Ft. Lauderdale are and it isn't very far to go. Check out Sage French Cafe http://www.sagecafe.net for some very good food at reasonable prices.
