Elderly parents, family condo in Orlando over holidays

The brood is descending upon a huge condo in Orlando over Christmas (2 week vacation)

Elderly parents (70 year old active Grandmother and 75 year old not-so-active Grandfather) will NOT want to do theme parks. They love to drive around and look at wildlife.

Suggestions?

This article <http://tinyurl.com/yzx4st>.> appeared in yesterday's Orlando Sentinel. It seems to provide some of the very ideas you are seeking, particularly the Winter Park Boat Tour.

There is also The Rivership Romance <http://www.rivershipromance.com/> based in Sanford. They cruise the St. Johns River which is very scenic and has abundant wildlife to view.

Meet at Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge for dinner one night. It's a buffet, not too expensive, with some food that is quite different and some that is familiar. Afterwards, you can walk around the back of the lodge and view some of the animal park for free.

Thanks so much. These sound perfect.

Parents also have the National Parks pass for free entry. Any good NPS suggestions for that area?

wsox, one of my favorite "alternative Orlando" sites is this one:

http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums/

The Misc. area of that forum , amd some other areas of the forum, have great info on many alternative things to do, wildlife-related possibilities included.
