I did write the editors, and this is the reply as to why the thread was pulled:

We do our best to weed out those posts that are less than kind. Your post was written with good intentions, but the resulting discourse seemed on the verge of veering towards the sort of behavior that it meant to put an end to.

If you have specific issues with another poster or suggestions please write to us at this address or at [email protected].

I suggested in a reply back, that the thread could have been locked, no further replies, and that posters could have read it and perhaps gave pause to whether they could benefit from message. Oh well, this is my last post on the topic as this will be deleted too.

The issue is you creating a false moniker, not any suggestions or complaints.

Now I know whom, to write when a post is plagued by somebody who makes disparaging remarks about well-meaning suggestions offered by others.
