Eating near Hotel Harrington & bus to monuments question
We are staying at the Hotel Harrington. We are looking for resonably priced places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. I was also wondering if there was bus service from one end of the mall to the other? We want to see the monuments at night but it is a long walk back to the hotel. Thanks for any info!

www.hopstop.com and www.wmata.com might help you with the bus question.
There is a cab stand south of the Lincoln Memorial. I have seen cabs there everytime I've passed it anyway.
http://www.washingtonian.com/RestaurantFinder.html might be helpful also.
You are pretty close to Penn Quarter which has a good amount of restuarants

Penn Quarter and Chinatown are close by. We like Wok 'N Roll in Chinatown for good sushi and Chinese food. There are lots of places to try. Fuddruckers is there across from Verizon Center (chain, burgers and chicken sandwiches, and salads very good). Even closer to the hotel is PotBellys for good inexpensive hot sandwiches at lunch (one block away from your hotel).
National Place a few blocks away and it has a food court inside for quick breakfast or lunch places.

Without knowing what kind of food you like or the make up of your party, directly across the street from your hotel is ESPNZone. Have eaten there twice, food is good for a chain, reasonable in price, and if you can't find a sporting event on tv in there, you don't need it.
Potbellys was mentioned above, and I have a friend who lives in DC and works for one of the congressmen, and he recommends Potbellys to visitors looking for good but inexpensive eats. I did not try it myself, but believe me, this boy knows good food.
