Eating in Port Aransas area

My wife and I, along with our two boys (2 years and 2 months), will be staying in Port Aransas from 5-8 July. We are staying at the Port Royal Condominiums. We would appreciate any feedback about good places to eat in that area. Also open to any suggestions in Corpus Christi. Thank you for your help! -Brian

Hello? Anyone home?

I usually am glad to help, but the Corpus area is one of the few parts of Texas that I am unfamiliar with. Sorry!!

Hi - I don't have first hand info but I saw on "$40 a day" on Foodtv some restaurants that look ok. One was the Oyster Bar by the beach. Maybe look it up on their website.

In Aransas Pass there is a dingy looking diner on the south side of the highway. Great Mexican food! Sorry I can't recall the name, but it's on the south side of Hwy 35, I think is the number.

In Port Aransas there used to be a pretty good Mexican place called Senor Dude's.

In Rockport, right where 35 makes a sharp left turn there is a good seafood place called The Duck Inn.

Sorry I'm so vague, but it's beena few years since I was there.

Oh, any of the County Line places in CC have good barbecue and steaks.

Thanks, all, for your help- we'll keep an eye out for the suggestions.

Not sure if it is still there but there used to a Landry's seafood restaurant out on Ocean Dr. There also used to be the Water Street Oyster Bar (also a restaurant) in Corpus. It has been many years so you may want to check.
