Eating in Highlands NC

We are going to Highlands NC next month and staying at the Old Edwards Inn. In addition to the Inn, where are some good places to eat?

Check out the Cashiers eating too. There are some good choices there but I can't remember the names!!

The ice cream shop in town is great. I learned on this board there are Kilwyn's in Florida too.

In Highlands, I would recommend Cafe of the Arts. I've heard great things about it from friends who have dined there.

In Cashiers, I highly recommend Cornucopia and Market Basket. For something more casual, try the barbecue joint in the middle of town. Excellent pulled pork!

You will enjoy Highlands...I've eaten at CAfe of the Arts(last year) and it was very good. I've also had dinner at Wolfgang's on Main - it's been a couple of years but it was also very good.

My wife and I recently ate at On the Verandah. The wait person was young, new and unknowing about the food. The food was well prepared and tasty. We had brunch and prices start at around 20 per. The overall ambience was pleasant. Nice view of the lake.
