Easter on Kauai
 

Aloha! My family and I are going to Kauai over Easter this year and we're so excited. I could use some advice on a few things before we go.

First, does anyone have a favorite place to dine or favorite thing to do on Easter? I suppose the obvious question related to that is if there's anything we should avoid on Easter? I know at home there are definitely places you just want to stay away from on that day due to crowds, excessive price gouging etc. Next, is there anything you recommend doing with an 8 and 5 year old while on Kauai (besides enjoying to beautiful beaches ;))? We've thought about doing the Kauai Coffee tour, do you think that's going to be too boring to take the kids on? We don't currently have a Costco membership but have heard prices there vs other stores are so different we're wondering if it's worth the membership fee to shop there while we're in Kauai? Besides those specific questions, I'd love to hear anyone's ideas/input on what to do, where to eat, where to shop to help make this a fantastic trip to remember.

Hesitant to make assumptions, but here goes. Since you reference Easter, I am assuming you are Christian. Take a look at the Wai'oli Hui'ia church in Hanalea. They are the friendliest people we met on the island, and lots of traditional Hawaiian touches to the service/music, etc. https://hanaleichurch.org/

rncheryl, yes we are Christian. I will definitely take a look at the Wai'oli Hui'ia church. We're always up to trying new places, especially if they are as friendly as you say. Thank you!
