Easter Mass 8:45 Saint Patrick's

We would like to go to the 8:45a Easter Sunday Mass at Saint Patricks Cathedral. Can you tell me what time we should be there to get seats? Thank you

Who knows, but I'd say 8:15 or 8:30. Isn't there an earlier mass taking place before the 8:45 one ? And don't forget to attend the Easter Parade which starts there and continues to 57th St. Think that starts around 10:00.

There is another mass in there which starts at 8. That isn't the big one BTW, it's not going to be that grand or special (I'm not sure it will even have music). The big event is at 10:15, and you need a ticket for that one.

I"d go about a half hour ahead for the earlier masses (there is one at 7 am and 8 am, also).

Thank you both. We decided to go to breakfast first then make our way to the noon mass. We are coming from outside the city so we would have to get up too early to be at the 8:45am thank you for your help

Just thought I would add a follow up to wha I learned. We switched to a noon mass at saint Patricks which enabled us to get reservations for breakfast using open table quite easily. Breakfast at 9 near the park. A beautiful walk through the park and then towards saint Patrick's around 11:15a. The Easter hat parade was still going on and it was a lot of fun.
A few things to know. The line to get into the church starts around the side of the building about 40 minutes to 1/2 hour before mass. We got lucky since my kids snuck in the side door and got good seats. The mass was about an hour or less and it was a conservative mass with some of it being in Latin. Still worth and very special.

Your proud that your kids snuck into church against rules and scored good seats? That is funny. Hope you had a wonderful experience.
