Easter Brunch on Oahu
 

Any suggestions for Easter Brunch on Oahu (preferably Waikiki area)? We're looking at possibly the Banyan Veranda at the Sheraton Moana or Sam Choy's Diamond Head. The Halekulani is already full. Any other places we should consider? Thanks.

My family is going to the Hawaii Prince. I have heard that Sam Choy's is good, too! Otherwise, the Waikiki Parc has a good buffet.....Ciao Mein at the Hyatt also used to have a good one but I have not been there in a while.

Hi Melissa,<BR>Do you know if the Hawaii Prince has a brunch menu posted online? If not I'll call and ask for one. We're leaning toward Sam Choy's right now as the menu is more Hawaiian. You're right the buffets at Waikiki Parc consistently good - we're already planning to go there on 2 other days so wanted someplace different. Thanks for the suggestions.

I don't think you can go wrong with the Banyan Veranda. We had Sunday brunch and it was one of the more memorable meals of our 12-day trip. The food was delicious and the ambiance was superb. I would go back there in a heartbeat.

We went to the April 13th Brunch on the Beach. They closed off part of Kalakaua Ave, right in front of the Hyatt and set up the stage and table on the street. There were 8 or 9 restaurants with booths including ones from Duke's, Hau Tree Lanai, Canoes, and some others. We thought the food from Canoes was the best. The entertainment started around 10:00am. It was a fun event and well organized. I saved the flyer with the menu and list of entertainment. If you'd like I can scan and email it to you. I think it changes every month but it'd give you a better idea. My email is [email protected].

BTW we enjoyed our Easter Brunch at Sam Choy's and Chris da Clown was a laugh riot!

Just thought I'd revisit this. This year my family is going to Tiki's at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel. It's $27.95 per person and special pricing for kids under 12. It is a buffet brunch that seems to have a LOT of stuff on the menu. We decided to try this place since it's always a great view of the ocean for lunch!

Most of the big hotels with a big restaurant have buffets for Easter. Most buffet places charge about $40/person for Easter. The Prince Kuhio's Trellises has a nice buffet that is a good value, but you need to be out in 2 hours. The Ala Moana Hotel has a nice buffet at the Plumeria Cafe, and I imagine Aaron's (at the top of the hotel) should have something special as well. The Waikiki Parc Cafe has a nice buffet (that one may be $30-35). The Halekulani's Orchids Restaurant is about $40 and they have a lavish buffet as well. We liked the Waikiki Prince, but all in all it was a little pricey versus the overall value of the meal.

All of the places mentioned above are very good. I've been dying to try Sam Choy's for Easter Brunch.
