Early september coastal temps?

Hi were staying in Laguna(3 nights), Santa Barbara(2 nights) and Monterey(3 nights)
first week in September. What kind of temperatures can we expect?
I'm assuming it'll be misty untill about miday and then the sun will burn through?
Cheers, Al

Laguna should be nice all day with great water temperatures

September is the absolute best time to visit coastal California, IMO. In Southern & Central California, the sun is generally shining all day, with little or no morning fog or mist.

Sounds like a nice trip. Enjoy!

Cheers, what kind of nubers are we talking though? high 70's, low 80's or even higher?

I can only speak for Southern Cal, but I would say 75-85. Unless, of course, the Santa Ana winds are blowing, then we're talking high 80's - 90's.

If you go to www.wunderground.com, type in your city of interest, then scroll down and click on "seasonal weather averages", you will get an idea of the average and the record temps.

Anyone know a Santa Ana wind dance?

The Monterey area should be in the 70s during the day, 60s in the evennings. It might get into the 80s, but that doesn't happen very often on that part of the coast.
