E-cards? ( When you travel)
These are very convenient to send when you are traveling with a laptop, and have forgotten to send a paper one. Some family and friends have said they do not like them, that it opens their addresses up to SPAM. Some of these cards are so pretty and I always think I am doing something nice. Anytime, what do you think of e-cards?

Not a fan.

I'm not a fan, and they often DO bring on spam to both the sender AND recipient.
Send one to YOURSELF and when they email you a URL to read the card, just send that URL to others .. of course it's not personalized, but at least only 1 person, you, gets served the portions of spam that follow. |
rb, where have you been lately? I miss your reserved optimism.

I have no problem with sending or receiving e-cards. Some of them are really beautiful, some very cute to send to grandchildren, etc. I may get more "spam" because of opening them ... I don't know. But some are very nice, I think.

When traveling, I often go to an internet cafe and email out a short trip report or personal notes to friends and family every few days. I don't use e-cards (not for them or against them, just not something i think to use).
