Dune Buggy Tours

Has anyone done a dune buggy tour in Oregon? I'll be traveling with my mother and we are not adventurous enough to rent our own but are considering taking one of the tours. We would appreciate any feedback/suggestions. Thank you!

I have done the ones in Florence, Or and I think they are soooo much fun!
The driver takes you flying over the dunes- in fact where we went you have to go with a driver- cant rent your own. I took some company last year and they werent too excited about going - but they loved it! Highly recommend it-

I think you're wise not renting your own, and second sunbum's suggestion to take a "tour" with driver. There are several choices: 2-3 passenger buggies up to the 12-15 passenger variety. It's the 2-3 passenger ones that have you "flying over the dunes".

I have always taken the smaller one-
3-4 passenger-
dont know what happens on the larger ones but would guess it wouldnt be as exciting a ride

We did the large dune buggy tour in Florence and enjoyed it a lot. We rode all around the dune area, then at the end went down a huge dune that I didn't believe the big buggy could handle. What fun!

Sounds like lots of fun! Would like to make reservations but because we're not sure what time we'll get there (we'll be passing through) I guess we'll just have to take our chances and hope they have room for two of us!
