Dune Buggies in Oregon Dunes
Hey -
Does anyone have any info on the best dune buggy tours of the Oregon Coast? I think they are mostly near Florence but would like some advice if any of you have "been there, done that, and loved it!" This "party of three" will be there in August. We are planning a day to include dune buggy, Haceta Head Lighthouse, and off to Eugene or Corvallis. Thanks a bundle!!! |
we did a dune buggy tour at the park near Florence. You can rent individual buggies also. The group buggy was a very large buggy and was driven over the dunes. Lots of fun. I couldn't believe that such a big buggy would go down the last big dune!

Do you remember which tour it was? It seems like there are a couple and I'd like to do the best!!!
Many thanks! |
i don't remember the name - i think it was the first one we came upon going south out of Florence

Heres a link to the place I always use- think its the only place around Florence and it is much fun

Here's another place just a few miles south of the one sunbum's recommending: http://www.sanddunesfrontier.com/tours.htm. For a thrill better than anything at Six Flags, do a "sand rail" tour. I wouldn't suggest renting your own; you won't have nearly as much fun. And you'll be scared spitless. ;-)

We took a Dune buggy ride there two years ago. It was a blast!! :-D
I can't remember the name of the place we used,it (could have been sandland). We rented a buggy for an hour with a driver ( very skilled driver, exciting ride). He took, just the two of us, over the dunes ,and out on the beach as well. We saw people that had rented their own and they were having a very hard time getting around on the dunes. The extra money for the driver was really worth it. Great time, will be remembered for a long time. ;;) |
We did Sandland Adventure
LOVED IT! Here's a photo: http://family.webshots.com/photo/295...29141053Pyjhwo |
