Dude Ranch Resort
 

Hi, I just heard about this site from a friend and I'm hoping someone can help me. A few friends and I are interested in heading out to Montana for the Dude Ranch experience. Can anyone give us some info on ranches they've been to? We're not dead set on Montana so we'd love info on Dude Ranches in any other state anyone has visited. Thanks! Ellyn

Normally all the Dude ranches which are on the organisation Dude ranches are good...In Arizona in Tucson teh White Stallion ranch is a must : not too
great and you can ride 4 times a day if you want...It's open from autumn to may due to the heat in summer, but a week here is a dream...beame reality...

Lost Creek Ranch - WY

We loved Cherokee Park Ranch, which is about an hour north of Fort Collins, Co and maybe an hour south of Cody, Wy. For a more rustic ranch, but with unescorted riding in the Canadian forests, try the Flying U, in British Colombia...about a four hour drive east of Vancouver. You can also take the train right to the ranch.

There are many differrent types of ranches out there...from working cattle ranches to ritzy, resorts where the golf course and tennis are more popular than the horse rides. Get Eugene Kilgore's book "Ranch Vacations" for very thourough and accurate reviews of ranches all over the country. Many of the good ones fill up their summer spaces by March, so Plan ahead!
