Driving to Montreal from New York City. . . how long?

The title says it all. Friends wedding in a few months and I'm researching travel methods, plane/train/automobile. How many miles from good ole Manhattan? How many hours am I looking at? Any 'can't miss' sites?

Hi me

Traffic depending, time of day dependent, border-dependent it should take you approximately 7 hours to get from Montreal to New York if you drive about 8 over the speed limit, 8 with a pit stop UNLESS you pick the wrong time and hit mongo traffic...the bus takes about 8 hours and the bus has more departure times and is theoretically moderately faster than the train (the train takes about an hour to get from Montreal to the Quebec border, followed by an hour of customs at the border; it's truly ridiculous!). Flying is a little over an hour. DAN
