Driving times between Monterry and Sonoma

What would be realisic driving times between Monterry and Sonoma? And are there more than one routes suggested? Thanks.

Do you mean Monterrey, Mexico, or Monterey, California? If the latter, then driving time would be about 3-4 hours, depending on the time of day. From Monterrey, I don't know.

Proof positive that spelling matters...although perjaps typing was the real culprit.

Sorry, I have been out of town...my spelling may be off, but since I posted under CA, assume that it was Monterey, CA. If it was Mexico, I would have posted under MEXICO. Thanks.

The timing of this trip is key for how long it will take. Late afternoon and evening rush hour on weekdays is the worst time. You should probably allow four hours.

The best (shortest) route is to take 101 north to 680 and then 680 north to Hwy 12 in Cordelia (Fairfield) and then west on 12 to Sonoma. This is not a good route in the afternoon rush hour, however and whatever you do, do not take this route on a Friday afternoon unless you like gridlock.

If you have all day, driving up the coast on Hwy 1 to SF and the Golden Gate Bridge would be the most scenic option. Then take 101 North to Hwy 37, 37 east to Hwy 121, and then north on Hwy 121 to Sonoma.

easy, you must mean Hugo D. Naranja, the world-famous Latin American playboy.

Topping, this is too funny to sink!

J_Correa May 4th, 2004 11:41 AM

Oh yes - Hugo D. Naranja - what a hunk!

easytraveler May 4th, 2004 12:49 PM

Hugo D Naranja! What an idiot I am!

Of course!

Recently when I asked a friend from Mexico if he wanted any coffee. He replied that he already had his "naranha hoogo", which took me three minutes to realize he had just drunk down a whole glass of orange juice. Wrong again! He was really talking about Hugo D Naranja!

Perjaps I should take some Spanish lessons?
