Driving time to Jackson from Yellowstone

Roughly how much time does it take to drive from West Thumb to the Tetons and/or Jackson? We'll be traveling on a Sunday. Thanks!

I'd guess about 90 minutes to Jackson. Of course, if traffic is heavy, then it'll take long. Naturally, it'll take less time to get to the Teton since it's closer. How long? Well, that depends on which part of the Teton.

Thank you!

We were on the road July 25th and they are doing road construction. It was gravel for a bit, I don't remember for how much. Totally drivable, but there may be some work being done.

We didn't encounter any delays because it was a Sunday, so no workers. Just slower than usual. It was a nice drive. We were going from Jackson to West Thumb.

Hi bcala

On July 26 we left Signal Mt. Lodge at 10:45 am drove north into Yellowstone with no stops, other than the construction delays and lines at the entrance station got to the Lake/West Thumb junction at 12:30. If no constructions or long lines at the entrance station it would be quicker.

Have Fun

Once you get to the Tetons it is still 45-60 minutes to Jackson. It takes longer to get into town than it looks on the map.

Thanks for all of the info. There are some things a map just won't tell you! We're actually leaving the Lake Yellowstone area and driving through the Tetons to spend a night in Jackson (we'll be taking notes for a longer visit in the future). Again, thanks.
