Driving Round Trip Chevy Chase Md To Austin Tx

Delivering children to UT. Most likely driving to Austin rather than flying (though haven't ruled out flying). Is Nashville the logical way point in two day drive? Is it an easy drive?

If you are going to any point in Utah, Austin Texas is not the shortest or even very scenic way to go.
With a Utah destination try St. Louis and the Gateway Arch.
Please check a map for your destination or use Mapquest or another program.

He's talking about The University of Texas.

We drove from NE Texas to Damascus Maryland last summer. It is interstates all the way so very easy.

Nashville isn't quite half way but Jackson isn't quite half way in the other direction either and there isn't much in between. Either one make good stops. Both have the usual chain hotels.

You are looking at two very long days--12-13 hours but we've done it many times. Speeds are pretty high on the Tenn, Ark, Texas route.

Congratulations on your children being accepted to UT--it's an awesome university and Austin is an awesome city.

If you maps google it, you get three routes that are only one hour different time wise. I'd go one way and return another to help with the boredom factor.

Best wishes for the college kid.
