Driving out of Beaufort, SC

Want to go from Beaufort to hwy #278. Is 170/141 a good option. When I checked maps on line they took me back to interstate.

Looks good to me. A few years ago we came up the coast to Beaufort and took 170. It worked out fine.

We've taken 170 to 278 several times - it's a nice drive.

suewoo - just wanted to know what hwy 170/141 was like. We are making a drive along the coast in SC on down to Florida and several other areas. I have posted on Fodor's, received some good answers to my questions. Also enjoy reading past posts from all you experts on SC. Thanks
