Driving on dirt Roads in Kauai
 

Has anyone driven on the dirt Ridge Roads off the Waimea Canyon Drive in Kauai? I hear the scenery is very good and am trying to decide if I need to rent an SUV. Also I hear these roads are not open daily. Any advice would be appreciated.
