Driving from Vancouver to Fairbanks
 

Hi there,

Just checking to see if anyone has done this drive... My husband and I are trying to map out our overnight stops at the end of the day and are very unfamiliar with the route. Does anyone have any suggestions on towns we should be looking for hotels in? we are leaving Vancouver on Monday, 28 June and need to arrive in Fairbanks on 4 July. Thank you so much for any advice.

Look for a copy of <i>The Milepost</i> at any major book store or online. It's the definitive road guide to Alaska travel, including the access roads.

In the meantime, visit http://milepost.com and look at the various routes, in particular the main Alcan and Cassiar highways.
