Driving from Seattle to Port Angeles
Hi, I will be traveling to Seattle in a couple of days and would be arriving at around 5:00PM. My question is how realistic is it to think about driving up to Edmonds take the ferry over to Kingston and the arrive in Port Angeles? would this be a very long drive? any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

I assume you are arriving at SeaTac.
The drive from there via Tacoma is 130 miles--about three hours. If you go on the ferry, you potentially have a long wait at the ferry. Either way, if it is 5:00 p.m. on a work day, traffic is likely to be heavy and that will add drive time. At 5:00 p.m. this evening, go to ww.smarttrek.org and you'll see what you have have to deal with on your drive. |
Thanks for the reply. I'll check out the link tonight. I wasn't sure how long you have to wait for the ferry. Maybe driving from Tacoma is the best bet. Would I be taking the Tacoma Narrows bridge?

Unless there's a reason you'd want to take the ferry, seems like driving is the more straight forward option in your situation. Ferry waits are notoriously unpredictable.

You would be taking the narrows bridge and it would be the fastest way for you to get to Port Angeles from the airport.
