Driving from Savanah GA to Asheville NC

Traveling from Savanah to Asheville NC. Is there anything on the way that we should stop and see? Any great places to have lunch ?

It's a pretty boring ride. We went to Stone mountain for a visit.It's very nice.

You could stop in Columbia at the Riverbanks Zoo. The gardens there are nice in spring. You could also stop in. Newberry, SC.

Ummm, charleston would be a pretty good place to stop for 2 or 3 days!!
Saluda, just off I26 south of Ashville has some very good and cute places to eat--particularly BBQ. Don't know the name.
Stone Mountain is a pretty good way from the road to Ashville. Fine if you're going to Atlanta.

A diversion over to Chimney Rock or Lake Lure; a diversion to Charleston and then Rte 17 down and US 21 to Beaufort.
