It is a beautiful campus and a good school, but there is a lot of drinking. I'm not saying this to worry you, but I think it is something parents should be aware of.

NorthWestMale, I think this is pretty much the route that we're taking. We make sure not to get stuck in Lodi every time we drive through (although we did stop at a nice winery there last time).

Orcas, I'm worried about that, but I think it's pretty much the same everywhere. I think my young 'un has his head on pretty straight, so I think we'll be OK.

For anyone else who has to do this drive, it's a seriously long drive. We actually started in Los Angeles, and it has taken us three days of driving. Getting as far as Weed was OK, since we were on Interstate 5, but once we got off on state and county roads in Oregon and Washington, things slowed down. It was a pretty drive, especially today from Bend to Pullman, but still a lot of time in the car.
