Driving from John Wayne airport??
 

Hello all..my sister is coming to visit us in San Diego. She is landing at John Wayne about 1 or 2 PM. She asked how long it will take to drive to San Diego.

I have no idea...can you help?

According to <http://www.randmcnally.com> approximately 1 1/2 hours, assuming no major freeway traffic.

I live half way between John Wayne airport and San Diego... I'd say to allow 1 hour and 30 minutes or so... 1 hour and 45 minutes max, unless she hits traffic (she's not traveling during rush hour so she should be OK). What day of the week is she driving down?

Depends on where you live in San Diego :-).

I live in Orange County and it can take about an hour to two hours - depending on where in San Diego and when I am traveling.

San Diego is a biiiiig place. No way to say how long to plan w/o knowing where?

....and hope you don't hit the Del Mar area of Interstate 5 when the horses are racing!
