Driving Atlantic City to Boston late night, logical stopping point?

We're seeing a show in Atlantic City on a Friday night and for various logistical purposes would like to get a couple hours towards home afterwards in order to make the next day's driving less (another show in Boston on Saturday, so we'd like to be home around lunch). Can anyone suggest some place to stay en route AC --> Boston that's not too far out of the way? I'm eyeing the Rye/Port Chester area, as we've stayed there before but I'm not sure if there's some place more logical/convenient? We'd be going up 91 to 84 to the Mass Pike to get home.

Thanks!

There are two slightly down at the heel Hampton Inns in Milford, CT, which is about 3 hours from Boston.

The Doubletree in Norwalk is pretty well run and close to 95. http://doubletree3.hilton.com/en/hot...TDT/index.html

I don't think you should be driving up I95 thru CT. (Not sure what I91) I recommend NJ Turnpike to Garden State Parkway and over Tappan Zee Bridge (then 287/84/MassPike). If you take that route, around White Plains, NY there are a large number of hotels of various chains. then you are about 3 hours from Boston.
