driving a trailer from Southen CAl to Alaska

We are travelling by small trailer in June to visit our daughters who live and work in Denali. We plan to go up to Ak from SOCAL as quickly as possible and home a leisurely route. We have one month. This will be our first trailer experience. What is a reasonable amount of miles to cover in a day on our way up? Thanks

Maybe 450 and that's a long day especially with a trailer.
Can you be more specific about your vehicles and routes?

It is about 3400 miles from LA, and according to my friend who drove it. . They had one of those camper vans and took 9 days to get to Anchorage, and about 15 to get home.

She says you might be able to do it in 6 if you drive long hours each day. One problem is that you can't go all that fast once you get into Canada and Alaska. In June you may still run into a lot of winter damaged roads as well as rain.

When you map out your miles pay attention to when gas stations are open once you are in remote areas. A family member ended up parking/sleeping in a gas station lot because it didn't open until 6AM and they were doing a marathon drive towing a car trailer.
We added stabilizers to the hitch which made our camper easier to tow and more stable when big trucks passed. My husband really hates to drive in heavy traffic with the camper.
You could cut off a lot of miles if you took the ferry but it would be quite expensive with the camper. We went Bellingham WA to Skagway but only had a car.

We are driving the Alcan through Clinton, Smithers, Watson Lake Burwash Landing to Denali. We ae hauling a little Trillium, 1300 #s. We had figured 450 would be the max miles we would want to drive and were hoping that would be feasible without wearing us out. Thanks all for your contributions. Will look forward to more suggestions.

We used to drive it in a week (from No. Cal.) and that was before the AlCan was paved. But we weren't towing a trailer.

Make sure you get a copy of the Milepost and use it to plan your gas stops and overnight stops.

Will you camp on the way? If you are lucky, perhaps you will hear wolves howling in the Yukon like I didn.
