not sure what is best at the danbury end but the easiest way into philly is either the ben franklin bridge or the walt whitman. both off of interstate 95 if you take the NJTP or the GSP both roads get you to 195 west that can get you to 295 south. take 295 south to exits for routes to either bridge.
the ben franklin bridge takes you to center city the walt takes you south of center city near the stadiums. so it depends on where you are going in Philly. |
just wanted to clarify the route 95 bridge is a bridge north of trenton nJ called the scudders falls bridge and it takes you way out of the way. this is why you should get on 295 . If you look on mapquest the walt whitman is the most south bridge across the delaware into the city this may help you decide how to go in.

The Mapquest directions for getting into Central Philly is complicated, but that's the "standard", fastest and shortest way which I also use.
NJTP #4, to PA73 to PA38 to US30 to Benjamin Franklin Bridge. The key to this route is that most of the signs will say "Ben Frankin Bridge". Ben is your best friend in using this route to Philly. |
Thanks for those of you that helped me with the driving directions from Danbury to Phili!
