drive I 40 from wilmington-baltimore
Is it worth the extra time to drive I40 coast route from wilmington to baltimore for the scenery or just take U.S. 95 back, my wife and i both like sea shore areas. And we will be stopping in baltimore harbour area for some site seeing. thanks nick

I don't think either interstate has much scenery.
I agree with x,
I-40 is the same as 95, just has lots of lights and strip malls, and lots slower.
Take 95.

I drove US40 LOTS of times when stationed in Bainbridge MD. It is far from scenic, and the only time you'll see any water is when you cross the Susquehanna River between Perryville and Havre d'Grace. Lisa describes the route perfectly. Get off I-95 in that area - both are old towns w/ antiques and all, but don't stay on 40. If you do, you'll have plenty of opportunities to re-enter I-96

As r-travels points out, it is US40, not I40. Unless Perryville grew alot since my 1951 Bainbridge days, there is nothing there. Havre d'Grace was and I understand still is a nice town. Other than thatuse I95.
